Key Websites

There are a number of other websites that provide helpful resources available to the public:

Australian Sports Commission

The ASC has a number of resources available via their “All Cultures” program, of which Heritier O’Brien from Collingwood is an ambassador.

Centre for Multicultural Youth

CMY is a community-based organisation that advocates for the needs of young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds. They have many resources available online, including resource kits, translated information and research projects.

Refugee Council of Australia

The RCOA is the national umbrella body for refugees and the organisations and individuals who support them. The RCOA is a non-profit organisation registered as an incorporated association in the Australian Capital Territory. It is funded through contributions from its members and by project grants from philanthropic bodies and government agencies.

These resources will assist those seeking to learn more about refugees and Australia’s refugee/humanitarian program, as well as dispelling some of the myths surrounding refugees and asylum seekers.

Play by the Rules

Play by the Rules provides information and online learning for community sport and recreation on how to prevent and deal with discrimination, harassment and child abuse, and develop inclusive and welcoming environments for participation.
