After three day’s play in this year’s School Sport Australia National Championships, there have been some fantastic results for the host state’s youngsters.
The 84th School Sport Australia National Championships will begin on Sunday in Sydney, with New South Wales set to field three teams, including a female outfit.
Some of New South Wales’ most isolated children have come together for a very unique football experience in the Western Riverina region.
The fifth round of the Independent Schools competition was played at North Ryde and Marickville last weekend, with Sydney Swans stars dropping in to visit.
24 U16 girls have been selected to represent New South Wales at the School Sport Australia National Championships, to be held in Sydney in July.
The ISA competition continued over the weekend, with five matches played at Lakeside Oval, Moore Park and five games held at Mahoney Park, Marickville.
On Saturday April 12, nine children from Shoalhaven Auskick took to the field during half-time of the GWS Giants and Western Bulldogs game at StarTrack Oval.
Last weekend's games at Bat and Ball Oval and Lakeside Oval saw plenty of highlights, with several teams recording very impressive victories in Round 2.
