AFL in Greater Western Sydney is moving to Sundays in 2013!

We’re pleased to announce that in 2013 all Junior AFL in Greater Western Sydney including NAB AFL Auskick will be played on Sundays.
This year, NAB AFL Auskick was moved to Sunday and we saw approximately 50% growth in participation. It was fantastic to see so many more children being able to experience playing Australia’s Game.
By moving to Sundays, boys and girls are able to play multiple winter sports and have better access to fields. Our goal is to give as many people as possible the opportunity to play AFL and in turn strengthen our fantastic communities and clubs who put the hard yards in on and off the field each week.
We appreciate the commitment of our current participants and acknowledge their support in changing days next year.

Here are a few testimonials from some of the parents from the Blue Mountains Junior Football Club whose children participate in NAB AFL Auskick which moved to Sunday at the beginning of 2012.
"I loved it as it didn't interrupt swimming or netball on Saturdays and got us out and about on a Sunday. If it was to move to a Saturday we wouldn't be able to participate."
"Sunday mornings suited us as it left Saturday free for other commitments such as swimming lessons, school market etc. Sunday's tend to be clear of other distractions."
