AFL Multicultural Community Ambassador Program aims to further engage multicultural communities through a network of community ambassadors.
o Acts as advocate for the AFL in their particular communities
o Promote AFL as a vehicle for engagement and inclusion
o Provides community leaders with an official platform to become involved in the introduction and coordination of AFL related activities in their communities as well as opportunities for professional development.

Role Description
- Provide a point of contact for their communities
- Liaise with AFL to ensure their communities are aware of AFL and AFL Club’s multicultural engagement programs
- Promote AFL multicultural programs in their community
- Provide feedback to AFL on our multicultural programs
- Build and improve community partnerships
- Assist the Multicultural Team to engage with the community
- Represent AFL at community events/forums and attend the AFL/AFL Club functions and events on invitation
- Assist with delivering cultural awareness sessions when needed
- Assist with dissemination of information to targeted community groups through AFL publications and promote AFL social media outlets
- Be positive role models

Selection Criteria
Applicants must fulfil the following selection criteria:
- Respected members of a multicultural community
- International student leaders
- Refugee advocates
- Youth & female leaders
- Multicultural background desirable but not essential if you are involved with CALD communities
- Must be available to attend the orientation day
